Crosswalk stings are counterproductive

Does Sandpoint Police Chief Mark Lockwood realize no one has a "right" to drive? It is a privilege that involves social skills.

Perhaps if the cops weren't so busy carrying out their crosswalk stings and just let their presence be known, especially on Fifth Avenue, more people would take heed to the crosswalks and slow down.

Also, why isn't that lighted speed sign ever stationed on Fifth Avenue.
