Connect the dots when you go to vote Nov. 6
Well, folks, it's time to connect the dots again. These may give you some food for thought when you cast your ballot on (or before) Nov. 6.
Sandpoint council candidates, in alphabetical order:
Michael Boge — 12-year incumbent, small business owner.
Bill Dowling — retired from Panhandle State Bank, father-in-law to Karl Dye, head of Bonner County Economic Development Association.
Paul Gollin — owns Web site creation business; waiter/bartender.
Doug Hawkins Jr. — recently appointed to replace Cindy Elliott on the council; works for family business, Litehouse.
Sandra Lamson — four-year incumbent; retired former city of Sandpoint treasurer.
Carrie Logan — retired public health worker; six years former experience on city planning commission.
Ed Ostrom — owner/broker Windemere Realty.
Jeff Rands — Realtor Tomlinson-Black/Sotheby's.
Ivan Rimar — contractor/developer.
Steve Snedden — attorney; son/grandson of Sandpoint Snedden dentists/Unicep.
Dan Young — owner/broker Rainbow Realty.
Mayoral candidates alphabetically:
Gretchen Hellar — retired hardware wholesale business owner, university level educator, researcher.
Ray Miller — retired high school teacher; 22 years city council, four years mayor.
