Cornelius 'Neil' Thomas Twohig
Cornelius "Neil" Thomas Twohig, 66, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
A memorial Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sixth and Oak, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Father Dennis C. Day is officiating.
Neil was born on Feb. 15, 1941, in Boston, Mass. the son of Joseph and Grace (Horan) Twohig.
Neil worked in the mines in Minnesota working as a brakeman on the railroad cars that hauled the ore out, retiring after 30 years.
Neil retired in 1996 and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. He was an avid skier, model trains and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by five sisters, Grace Barass, Kathryn Clure, Barbara Callow, Ruth Fisher and Joan Schouten; and three brothers, James Twohig, Gerard Twohig and Joseph Twohig. He is also survived by Wayne and Michelle Becker, who cared for him.
