Democracy is a participatory sport
It appears Sandpoint is going to have a spirited election this fall.
That is a good thing.
Now is the time to start asking questions because this election in particular is going to put a stamp on Sandpoint's future.
Each incorporated city in the Bee's readership has a race this year but most of the seats are uncontested. We are focusing most of our attention in Sandpoint.
The Daily Bee is compiling a list of questions for each candidate that we will include in a special voters' publication.
We want your help.
What should we ask the mayoral candidates?
What should we ask the city council candidates?
Growth. Parking. Business retention. Byway. Affordable housing. These topics all belong in the discussion.
Drop me a line at dkeyes@bonnercountydailybee. com or mail a question in to me at PO Box 159 and let me know what you feel is important.
Democracy is a participatory sport. If you don't play, you can't complain.
