CLARK FORK — Chelsea Macumber had a big night as Clark Fork lost 25-11, 25-12 and 25-21 to Wallace Thursday night at Clark Fork High School.

The sophomore led the Cats (0-2, 0-2 NSL) with four aces, 22 digs and three kills in the loss to Wallace (3-1, 2-0), arguably the top team in the NSL.

"It seemed like she was where the ball was going every time," said Cats coach Andrea Brandt. "It was really fun to watch."

Moranda Becker added 20 digs as the Cats put together a much more consistent effort than they did in their opener against Lakeside.

"They dug in deep against a very strong team," said Brandt, who felt her team faded against Lakeside. "They didn't give up at all, went all out all night."

Clark Fork hosts Mullan on Tuesday.
