Chelsea Macumber had a big night for Clark Fork, leading the Cats with 25 digs, six kills and 11 aces as they beat Mullan in five hard-fought games in North Star League action Tuesday night in Clark Fork.

The Cats (1-2, 1-2 NSL) had a monster night in the service game, posting an unusually high 34 aces as a team. They also showed some of the resolve that head coach Andrea Brandt has been looking for, coming from behind to win 22-25, 21-25, 26-24, 25-18 and 15-9.

"It was a complete team effort, everybody tried their hardest," said Brandt, collecting her first win as the Cats' coach. "It was the most aggressive I've seen the girls play. It was fun watching their confidence grow."

Alex McLelland added six assists, and Megan Hess had four kills and five assists for Clark Fork.

Fawn Story led Mullan (0-3, 0-3) with five kills, three blocks and two aces.

Clark Fork plays at Kootenai tonight.
