| September 26, 2007 9:00 PM

Marie Louise Osborn, 84, entered into rest on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, in Sandpoint, Idaho with her children by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Coffelt's Funeral Chapel, 109 N. Division Ave., in Sandpoint, Idaho, with Doctor F. "Dean" Hackett from the Hidden Valley Worship Center officiating. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Marie was born on May 25, 1923, in Sandpoint to Norwegian immigrants Anton and Mina (Karlstad) Slette. She attended Sandpoint schools, marrying Wade Brown in 1940. Four children were born to this union.

In 1957, she married Edison Stidwell from Sandpoint, and they lived in Centralia, Wash., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Spokane Valley, Wash., for many years until Ed passed away in 1971.

While attending Sandpoint High School reunion in 1972, she met Kenneth Osborn, also from Sandpoint, and they later married and spent 29 wonderful years together living in Spokane Valley until his death in 2001.

Marie had beautiful flowers and vegetables gardens. She took a lot of pride in being a home maker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. You always felt welcome in her home, and she was also a "Mom" to many. She loved spending time with her 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Memories created at "grandma Marie's" will be with them forever.

Marie is survived by her sons, Wade Brown of Sandpoint and Douglas Brown of Vista, Calif.; daughters, Diane (Mike) Whitney of Sequim, Wash., Judy (Russ) Gill and Janis Favorel of Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Hans (Vi) Slette of Woodburn, Ore.; sisters, Ruth Rodeen of Clarkston, Wash., and Virginia (Bill) Jones of Sagle, Idaho; and her sister-in-law Helen Riggs of Lewiston, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Osborne, John, Orville, and Richard Slette; sisters, Judith, Christine and June; and former husband Wade Brown in 1994.

Memorial donations may be made in Marie's name to a favorite charity.

"The love she passed on to us will be forever in our hearts".
