Spickelmire selected chamber's top volunteer
SANDPOINT — Colleen Spickelmire was recognized by the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce as its Volunteer of the Month at the general membership luncheon Sept. 13.
Among her many volunteer commitments, Spickelmire is the new president of the board of directors for the chamber.
Spickelmire was recognized for her many roles in the community over the past 27 years. She is a past president of the Sandpoint Rotary Club as well as past assistant district governor responsible for the six North Idaho Rotary clubs, also assisted in the chartering of the two new clubs in Bonners Ferry and Ponderay. She has been involved with the chamber as an ambassador for the past four years and chaired the ambassadors committee for two years. Spickelmire has served as a volunteer for many local events, including Lost in the '50s, The Festival at Sandpoint, Oktoberfest, Ultimate Auction, Rotary Yard Sale, Timberfest.
Spickelmire has also organized volunteers the past three years for the North Idaho Draft Horse and Mule Associations annual event.
She is employed at Panhandle State Bank as the relationship services office and enjoys working with the public.
