Community needs to support generous gift

Last night, the Pend Oreille School District School Board for voted to pass a resolution in full support of the new Bird Aviation Museum.

This resolution was proposed by board member Steve Youngdahl. What a wonderful way for them to say thank you, on every parent's behalf, to Dr. Forrest and Dr. Pam Bird for the incredible gift that they have given to the community and the school children.

Where else in this county can children experience the amazement of science and innovation right in their own back yard and it's free?

I was very happy to see the school board support for this very generous gift that the Birds have given to the community and if you haven't been out to the museum yet, I highly recommend going. It will only be open a few more weeks for this season until next year.
