Bonner General hosting 'Art Transplant Sale'

| April 1, 2008 9:00 PM

One of the things that sets Bonner General Hospital apart from many other hospitals is the colorful and spirit-lifting artwork displayed on the walls of virtually every hallway and corridor.

Thanks to the incredible work and dedication of the community members who serve on the hospital's Art for the Soul committee, BGH is fortunate to offer a unique, aesthetically-pleasing healing environment to our patients.

The artwork enhances and humanizes the hospital experience for patients and their families, and is truly uplifting for our staff as well.

This year's Art Transplant Sale silent auction will be held from April 21 to April 24 at Bonner General Hospital.

During that week, donated artwork will be on display in the hospital's hallways and available for purchase through a silent auction.

Bidding will begin on Monday, April 21, and will close promptly at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 24.

This year's sale will include original oil and acrylic paintings, pen-and-ink drawings, prints, watercolors, local art, sculpture, and more.

All funds raised by the Art Transplant Sale will be used to purchase artwork for the hospital and to cover the cost of maintaining the existing collection.

We are currently seeking donations of art from the community to include in this year's sale, and will be accepting donations of artwork until Friday, April 18. If you would like to donate a piece of art, or would like more information about the Art Transplant Sale, please call Dorothy Modafferi at 264-5703.

Bonner General Hospital and the Art for the Soul committee would also like to thank all of the artists and art lovers who have donated work to the hospital gallery and the Art Transplant Sale over the years.

We truly appreciate your generosity and your contribution to the healing process for our patients.
