Lucille Lorraine Bricker Thompson, 92, passed away in Puyallup, Wash., on March 16, 2008.
Private family interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Lucille Loraine Bricker Thompson was born to Ernest and Bessie (Civis) Bricker on Aug. 8, 1915, in Belle Plain, Iowa.
Lucille moved to Sandpoint, in 1942 with her daughter Ruth Forrester. In 1954 she moved to Tacoma, Wash., to be near her daughter Ruth. She worked in the dry cleaning industry for years.
She married Orris Thompson on Aug. 23, 1984. They had a wonderful life together for 19 years. They enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, dancing, bowling and gardening.
She was a member of the Tacoma Lady Elks, the Pierce County Iris Society, and had received her 40-year pin from the Eagles Lodge.
Lucille is survived by her grandsons, Michael A. Nieto (Dorothy), Michelle and Stephanie of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Paul Nieto (Kim) and Brandon of Tacoma; stepdaughter Eileen Smiley; step-granddaughters Donna Kuhlmann (Tim) and Evan, Kathryn Thomas (Dana) and Cassandra and Shanice, all of Tacoma, and Susan Meyer of Puyallup, Wash.; sisters, Mildred Scarcello of Rathdrum, Violet Marie McCray of Issaquah, Wash., Dorothy Keveton of Lyons, Ill., and Phyllis Thurlow of Sandpoint; brothers, Wayne Bricker of Superior, Mont., and T. Phillip Brickerand Sandpoint. Her husband, Orris Thompson; daughter, Ruth Brixen; her parents, Ernest and Bessie Bricker; brothers, Harvard, Miles, Ernest Jr and Ted Bricker; and sisters, Betty Bricker and Louise Balison preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed.
