Bank will open May 12 in Sandpoint Center

SANDPOINT - After nearly two years of work, the much-anticipated Sandpoint Center is finally complete, according to a company statement.

Panhandle State Bank employees will move into the 94,000-square-foot complex within the next six weeks in preparation for the bank's May 12 opening.

The bank's information technology department made the move to the new facility early last month to set up and test computer systems and communication components.

Executive offices and human resources employees will be the next groups to move, with additional personnel following shortly after.

Curt Hecker, CEO of PSB's parent company, Intermountain Community Bancorp, is extremely pleased with the facility's progress and anticipates the new center will provide a hub for community activities as well as a business and banking home for customers throughout the region.

“This is much more than a new building, it is the centerpiece of our commitment to Sandpoint and our customers as we continue to provide a strong and safe financial haven even in volatile economic times,” Hecker said.

The center will host its first official function on April 3 when IMCB welcomes shareholders to the corporation's annual meeting.

A grand opening celebration is being planned for a later date.
