End despotic government and reclaim our rights

| April 14, 2008 9:00 PM

Big question: After 200 years why the confusing debate by the U.S. Supreme Court on banning handguns in the homes of we the people? Why now a supreme debate on the right to defend life, liberty and pursuit of happiness in our homes, state and nation?

The 1776 Declaration of Independence states: “whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it,” - “It is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”

The 1791 Constitutional Amendment II states: “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” The commas before and after the declaration clearly separates the right from the preceding regulated militia. This common sense interpretation is now a Supreme Court issue.

An unarmed people can never defend their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and/or throw off a despotic government.
