milfoil
Not too late to lobby county commission
On March 26, the media stated:”Herbicides Anchor 2008 Milfoil Plan,” - another $1.2 million will be used this year to add toxins to our water, and the use of 2-4-D, suspended in 2007 due to public outcry, is now back in the county's arsenal.
So Š after a year, public outcry is no longer pertinent? People, it is our responsibility to make our commissioners hear our outcry, and we can, on May 27 and Nov. 4. Todd Crossett has consistently voted against herbicide treatment of milfoil, but he is only one of three commissioners. Make your outcry heard. Vote the other two out.
This goes for state and federal “representatives” as well. The platform of these people and what they stand for is easy to find online. Type their name into “Google” and then read. Vote for those who represent you.
Did you know Barack Obama wants to increase taxes by $287 billion a year and subsidize Š about everything, including illegal immigrants and poor people in foreign countries? (see www.votesmart.org) Does he believe he can get water out of a rock?
Davy Crockett, U.S. congressman from 1826-1830, and presidential candidate Ron Paul, noted the Constitution doesn't provide taxpayer-funded relief for anyone, and if Congress wants to spend money to help people, they should spend their own. Congressman Paul wants to reduce taxes by $150 billion.
In 2008, history will be written by those who vote. Get educated. Then let your outcry be heard.
