Clark Fork dominates in track meet

PRIEST RIVER — The Clark Fork track team had a dominant showing in hurdles Wednesday at the Priest River Invitational, winning all but one race against against 3A Kellogg, Priest River and St. Maries.

Austin Martin and Matt Belville finished one-two in the 300 hurdles, with Martin edging Belville at the tape to win by .03 seconds. Belville finished second in the 110 hurdles, Zach Anderson finished second in the 100 meters, and the Cats 4X200 relay team finished second to round out the top placers.

Bailey Hewitt won the 100 and 300 hurdles handily, and was narrowly edged at the tape by Priest River’s Lacy Hopkins in the 200 meters to lead the Clark Fork girls team. Hewitt also won the long jump to round out a stellar meet. Brittany Drayton was second in the long jump and shot put, and Moranda Becker won the triple jump to round out the placers.

Clark Fork is at the Wallace Invitational on Tuesday.
