Don't take away right to vote on proposed facility

| August 18, 2008 9:00 PM

Attn: Judge Charles Hosack,

Your honor,

May I ask the question of whether we have lost the right to vote? I spent more than eight years in the military in defense of freedom in this country. I have two grandsons in the military — one grandson is in Iraq now, while the other is just graduating flight school. Has all of this been in vain?

Originally, this country was under the law of the Constitution. Judges decided if the law was broken and, if so, punishment was prescribed as determined.

Your honor, my question is: Have we lost this right and, sir, have judges replaced our Constitution?

I am referring to Bonner County Case No. 2008641 on judiciary confirmation.

There is no doubt about the work release center being unnecessary. We only average about four to seven work release people now and the existing jail has 20 work release beds.

I was on the jail advisory committee on building this present jail.

Your honor, I am almost 73 years old, and have paid taxes all my adult life. Sir, all I ask is that you honor your oath of office and uphold our constitution of the great state of Idaho.

I thank you for reading my letter.

P.S. Please don’t take away our right to vote.

BILLY LOVELESS

Sagle
