Why not keep crosswalk signs up all year long?

If you are accepting a menu of complaints, here is mine:

1. Why do we need to pay police officers to pretend to be pedestrians on Fifth Avenue? Why not leave the “buffer zone” signs up year long?

2. What part of “no dogs” do people not understand at the Farmers Market?

3. I would really appreciate an explanation concerning my water pressure this summer.
