Yolande M. Pilard, 74

Yolande M. Pilard, 74, of Priest River, Idaho, died Aug. 21, 2008, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Yolande was born Oct. 14, 1933, in Metz, France.

On Nov. 9, 1955, she came to the United States with her first husband, Richard Schultz. Richard was in the Air Force and the couple met on an Air Force Base.

The couple settled in Buffalo New York. After Richard’s death, Yolande married Roland Pilard ant the couple moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where she resided for approximately 30 years.

She later moved to Sandpoint, where she worked at the Sandpoint Safeway, and then on to Priest River, where she lived with her daughter Carol and her son Curtis.

Yolande is survived by her children, Rick Schultz of Sandpoint, Carol Lawrence of Priest River, Brigitte Guran of Broomfield, Colo., Michael Pilard of Lake Havasu City and Eileen Dash of Williamsville, N.Y. Yolande is also survived by eight grandchildren, Rick, Matt, Nathan, Daniel, Kelly, Timmy, Nicole and Curtis.
