Myrtle Felder, 81

Myrtle Felder, 81, of Arco, Idaho, died peacefully of kidney failure in her sleep surrounded by family on Nov. 29, 2008. 

Myrtle was born Sept. 20, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio. She was raised by her mother, Alma Dear, with her brother, Russell Hill; and sister, Rosie Sporacco; all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al Felder,  of 36 years.

She married her first husband, Aubrey H. Kay, in 1949, later divorcing, after six children together. Myrtle later married the love of her life, Al Felder, in 1970, with whom she spent active years involved with grandchildren,  volunteering at the senior center and volunteering in their community, until his death in 2006.

Myrtle is survived by her six children, Donna (Larry) Peterson of Carey, Idaho, Rand (Del) Kay of Sandpoint, Idaho, Bud (Barbara) Kay of Elko, Nev., Deby (Steve) Lindskog of Elko, Launa (Steve) Curtis, Smith Valley, Nev., and Tischa (Jose) Sandoval of Yucca Valley, Calif. She is also survived by her cherished 17 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren.

Myrtle spent the last 2 1/2 years being exceptionally cared for by the wonderful and loving staff of Lost Rivers Long Term Care & Lost Rivers Home Health & Hospice. The nurses and staff deserve many thanks. Their hard work is greatly appreciated! Myrtle loved them all dearly.

No services will be held at this time. Burial of her ashes will follow in the spring at Wadsworth, Nev., where Myrtle will be laid to rest with her husband and mother. The family requests that donations be made to the Arco Lost Rivers Hospital Long Term Care or Hospice, in lieu of flowers.
