Drunken drivers cause nothing but devastation

| December 8, 2008 8:00 PM

I would like to addressed those of you that think it is OK to drink and drive, My friend and her 15-month-old daughter and another friend were hit head on by a drunken driver last week. Unfortunately  one of them did not make it.

I ask this - What gives you the right to get in a car and drive even if you had only one drink. You are not only putting other people's lives in your hands but also your own.

I do not understand why you would not pick up a phone and call a cab or walk or even call a friend or family member to come and get you. I think that the next time you decide to get behind the wheel of a car drunk, you should think of the family you could tear apart.

I know that most of you will still do it … until you hit a other person and/or hurt yourself and then, just maybe, it will hit you but then it will be too late.

Please do not drink and drive. Think about someone other than yourself the next time you get in to your car to drive.
