Most folks are aware of the term "Black Friday," the biggest shopping day of the year — maybe. Most folks also are aware of the tragedy that occurred on Black Friday in a Wal-Mart on the East Coast.
As a visitor and non-resident of Sandpoint, I did participate in the early morning shopping spree on Friday in Ponderay. I assure you, the local folks were patient, thoughtful and most respectful of the other shoppers.
This made the event surprisingly pleasant for me. and I just wanted to send a short thanks to the folks of the Sandpoint area.
Yes, your community is different than others.
