Use downtown lot in way that benefits community

| December 10, 2008 8:00 PM

I applaud Dave and Tami Gunter's vision in a recent Guest Opinion in which they expressed excellent suggestions to the Panhandle State Bank regarding use of their property between the new and old Panhandle Banks. Utilizing the beautiful old trees, creating public space for gardens, picnics, classes and performances would benefit residents as well attract tourists to our downtown area. I remember when we traveled the Midwest we always sought out the municipal parks for a rest area before browsing and shopping in the towns.

As Panhandle State Bank customers ourselves we too encourage management to consider these suggestions to improve and beautify our fair city of Sandpoint and reap the benefit of gratitude from our citizens. Please share your vision of downtown Sandpoint with bank officials.
