Emma Maria McConnell, 90

Emma Maria McConnell, 90, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008. Private family services will be held with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Emma was born in Santa Barbara, Calif., where she attended school. She married Wilbur R. McConnell on Dec. 14, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nev.

She lived in the Santa Barbara area until 1972 and then traveled the U.S., Canada and Alaska, with her husband. They also took extended trips worldwide. In 1987 she moved to Sagle, and at the age of 70 learned to swim, which she enjoyed very much. She liked to bowl, square dance, and work in her garden.

She is survived by her husband, of 60 years, Wilbur McConnell of Sagle;, her daughter, Doreen (and Bill) Dugan of Sagle; and three grandchildren, Denise Ducken, Lance (and Candace) Hull, and Sean (and Margo) Kelly. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.
