SHS boys fall to Lakeland

SANDPOINT — For three quarters, it looked like it might be a nice Senior Night for Sandpoint seniors Ryan Armbruster, Kyle Gibson, David Duarte, Brian Keough and Alex Crossingham.

Lakeland's Cody Moreland and Loel Underdahl had other ideas, exploding for 16 unanswered points to start the fourth quarter and lead Lakeland to a 56-44 4A North win over Sandpoint Tuesday night at Les Rogers Court.

Underdahl scored 17, and Moreland 14 to lead the Hawks (6-12, 2-9 IEL), who scored a whopping 27 points in the fourth quarter to blow open a tight game.

Ryan Armbruster led Sandpoint (5-13, 1-10 IEL) with 17, including five 3-point bombs as the Bulldogs led for the entire first three quarters. Bryce Olin scored eight, including two 3-pointers, and Spencer Swerin added seven in the loss.

Full court pressure from Lakeland helped spearhead their turnaround as the Bulldogs struggled to get the ball up court.

Sandpoint is at Lewiston on Saturday.
