Sandra Mae Wethington, 69, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, in Clark Fork, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint Charley Packard officiating. A reception will follow at the Lakeview Funeral Home reception area. Interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane at a later date.

Sandy, "Maams" as she was affectionately called by her grandkids and others that loved her, was born on Oct. 15, 1938, in Spokane, Wash., to Albert and Hazel (Barnes) Carlton. She grew up and attended schools in Spokane, graduating from Roger's High School. She then went to work as a Bell South telephone operator.

Sandy married William Hagemann in Spokane in November 1964. The couple raised their family mostly in North Idaho and Eastern Washington. They were later divorced. She then married Robert "Pops" Hoskins and they resided together in Clark Fork for more than 20 years. They were then divorced and she moved to Illinois and married Joseph Wethington, who passed away in June 2007.

Sandy was an animal lover, avid hockey and Oakland Raiders fan; she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and watching old western movies. On Jan. 9, 2008, she celebrated 24 years of sobriety.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Travis) Kiebert of Hope, Idaho, and Charyl Sagar of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; a son, Daryl (Becky) Hagemann of Oak Harbor, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Cassie Mae, Lyndsie, Leslie, Ellie, Terin, Dustin, and Amy; two brothers, Robert S. Carlton of Spokane, Wash., and Jim Haus of Oregon; two nieces and a nephew; and her Jack Russell dog, "Lil' Bit"

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Wethington.
