Angel's offer for taxi ride sent the right message

We were celebrating Mardi Gras with the Angels Over Sandpoint at the Panida last Friday. We had a really good time and people were drinking and partying.

We enjoyed the dancing and singing and laughing at several funny songs (like Depends and more) it was much fun.

At intermission, the president of Angels Over Sandpoint spoke about the program and what they do, but what Gail Findley really emphasized was: don't drink and drive.

Thank you for your passionate offer to everyone at the Panida to get a free taxi voucher to be driven home and leave the car where it was. I sure hope there were people taking you up on this generous offer! I would have if I had been drinking — it was too good to be true almost.

We salute you for this stand and commitment to help stop drunken driving — it saves lives.
