Roberta Ann Bostock passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho, after a short battle with a rare and aggressive form of colon cancer.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at 10 a.m. from First Christian Church, 201 N. Division in Sandpoint. Luncheon to follow.

Roberta was born on Feb. 18, 1956, in Spokane, Wash., to Robert and Ethel Ann Welker. As the daughter of a U.S. Air Force, MSGT, Roberta moved frequently during her childhood; Washington, Okalahoma, Germany, and Idaho Falls, Idaho, before her family made their way back to Sandpoint. From her High School years to the present Roberta was a prominent part of the Sandpoint community working for GTE, Pack River Management, and Sandpoint High School. She was also very involved in volunteer work and her church community.

Roberta's entire life was wrapped up in her family, faith, and friends. There was nothing more important to Roberta then her family. She took pride and great joy in her relationship with her husband, two boys and the rest of her family. Roberta was an incredible woman of faith who followed Jesus Christ with all of her heart, mind and strength. She was an incredible example of grace, compassion, and encouragement. Roberta can be remembered for her infectious smile, warm personality, and constant friendship. She impacted everyone in her life for the positive, and once you met Roberta your life was forever changed. She was always willing to go the extra mile to help someone out and take time to listen.

Roberta's life is celebrated by her husband, William Bostock; children, Kyle and Katie Bostock and Casey and Amy Bostock; parents, Robert and Ethel Ann Welker; brother, Randy Welker and wife Cindy; Nieces, Jacqueline Welker, Alisha Clark, Aaliyah and Hayleigh Campbell; one grandchild; and too many family, friends and adopted kids to count.

If you would like to give a donation in remembrance of Roberta's life you may do so at any branch of Mountain West Bank, into the "Roberta Bostock Memorial Fund." The family requests you do this in lieu of flowers or other gifts.
