Clark Fork defeats Kootenai
KELLOGG — Jared Broggi scored a game-high 14 points, one of three Cats in double digits as No. 1 Clark Fork advanced to the 1A District 1 championship game with a 49-26 whooping of No. 4 Kootenai Thursday night at Andrews Gymnasium in Kellogg.
Drew Wilkinson added 11 and Thomas McMahon 10 to lead the Cats (16-4), who blew the game open with a 20-5 second quarter blitz after a low scoring first quarter. The Cats defense was stingy, holding the Warriors to single digits in ever quarter.
Ethan Patzer led Kootenai (9-12) with eight points in the loss.
The Cats will face Lakeside, who edged Wallace in the other semi-final, tonight in the championship game, with tip off slated for 7:30 p.m. at Andrews Gymnasium.
