Clarence Jean 'Sonny' Florea, 68
Clarence Jean “Sonny” Florea, 68, passed away at his home on Upper Pack River Road, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008. No services are scheduled at this time.
Sonny was born Oct. 1, 1939, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Frank and Irene Florea. He grew up and attended schools in Bonners Ferry. Sonny served in the United States military from 1957 to 1984, serving in both the Idaho Army National Guard and the Navy.
He worked for W.I. Forest Products saw mill for 14 years. He also worked throughout his life as a long haul truck driver. He married Linda Colliander on May 25, 1994 in Reno, Nevada. The couple made their home on Upper Pack River.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Florea of Sandpoint, Idaho, four sons, Wayne (Becky) Florea of Prospect, Ore., David (Shirley) Florea of Hermiston, Ore., Kevin (Cindy) Florea of Medford, Ore., and Anthony (Bridgett) Florea of Post Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren, and helped raise four granddaughters, Tara, Amanda, Fatima, and Khadijah; three sisters, Evelyn Stanczak of Murphy, Calif., Fern Guthrie of Spokane, Wash., Lenora (Delvin) Tucker of Newport, Wash.; and three brothers, Harold (Frieda) Florea of Sedro Woolley, Wash., Thomas (Kathy) Florea of Bonners Ferry and Robert (Cheryl) Florea of Havre, Mont.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bill, Jerry and Richard; and a sister, Gladys Cook.
