Officials ensuring bright future for state, residents

| January 2, 2008 8:00 PM

I want to express a heartfelt thanks to you, my fellow Idahoans, for all the support I received in 2007. Your words of encouragement and friendship have meant more to me than I can possibly convey. I know full well that my accomplishments this past year would not have been possible without you. Washington, D.C. can be a very difficult place. Today it seems to be just overflowing with partisanship and bickering. Such a hostile political environment would be really hard to tolerate without the kind letters, emails and phone messages I have gotten from so many Idahoans.

I will always owe a debt of gratitude to the other members of Idaho's congressional delegation, and I want to publicly thank them. These men have taken me under their wing and have supported me as I learned my way around Congress.

Looking ahead, Idaho's future remains bright with men like Mike Crapo, Mike Simpson, Jim Risch and Butch Otter at the helm. They have all proven their commitment to representing the best interests of Idahoans, and I look forward to my continued service with them.

Thanks to everyone again for a wonderful 2007, and may God continue to bless you, our wonderful state and these United States of America.

REP. BILL SALI

U.S. Congress
