Community's future depends on schools
I have always been amazed at this community's generosity. If someone needs a helping hand, at least 10 stretch one out. If an organization like the Lions Club needs help, or the food bank in Athol gets robbed, it's the community that steps up to help.
It is my sincere hope this same generosity will shine through for our schools. They have been patched and Band-Aid-ed to the point where it just doesn't work any more. A two-year levy will fix many of the schools' needs. Sewer systems are backing up, roofs are leaking on our community's children. These needs are real and desparately need our attention. We can no longer sit back and do nothing. I understand that there is a major misconception of "smoke and mirrors" and hidden agendas, so don't just take my word for it. Go see for yourselves, ask questions, attend board meetings. This community's future depends on it.
