Young hunter's tale was enjoyed

| January 12, 2008 8:00 PM

I very much enjoyed the article you ran on the youngster who was successfull this elk season.

I love hearing, and especially reading, about the next generation who will carry on the time-honored tradition of truly being one with nature that is to say, becoming part of the circle of life.

So many of us (the true conservationists) who joyfully send in our hard-earned money to the many wonderful organizations, such as Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, North American Hunter and the National Rifle Association, we are the responsible ones who know there is a right and a wrong way to go about caring for our great outdoors. Hunting always has and always will play a pivotal role in the proper management of our majestic animals.

Just because you may hear more from those who do not like this particular type of article, does not mean that there is not a very large number of us out here who love it very much, you just may not here from us as often (it's not really in our nature.)

Thank you and happy hunting.
