Wilma June (Pate) Harvey, 91

Wilma June (Pate) Harvey, 91, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Clark Fork Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with President Paul Trunnell conducting.

Burial will follow in the Clark Fork Cemetery.

Wilma was born in Spry Utah on Aug. 18, 1916. Her parents were William Pate born Jan. 31, 1878, in Union Fort, Utah, and Hazel Dean Walker Pate born Nov. 20, 1889, in Union Fort, Utah.

They moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in Feb. 19, 1927. They moved to Yucaipa, Calif., in December 1929. Wilma was baptized into the LDS church in 1928.

She met Joseph Alonzo Harvey who was born in Dec. 14, 1913, her future husband, in Yucaipa on her 16th birthday.

They went together for four years then were married Aug. 2, 1937 in St. George, Utah.

Their first child was Joseph Blaine Harvey, who was born March 10, 1939, in San Bernardino Calif.

Their second child was Diana Dawn Harvey Rogerman, who was born April 16, 1940, in San Bernardino, Calif. She died Dec. 11, 1986, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Their third child Linda Dean Harvey Lindsey was born on Sept. 16, 1941, in San Bernardino, Calif.

Their fourth child was Claudia Lynette Harvey, who was born on Jan. 4, 1943, in Redlands, Calif.

Their fifth child was Alma Elizabeth Harvey, who was born on June 2, 1945, in Redlands. She died Sept. 14, 1945 in San Bernardino.

Their sixth child Michael Edward Harvey was born July 17, 1946 in Redlands, Calif.

Their seventh child Dale Lynn Harvey was born on March 7, 1948, and died March 9, 1948 in Redlands.

Wilma was PTA member and president part of that time when Blaine, Diana, Linda, and Claudia were in Yucaipa Jr. High School.

She worked for Deseret Industries for 17 years from 1958 to 1975.

Wilma and Joe bought their Clark Fork, Idaho, property in 1967 and moved to Clark Fork permanently in 1976.

Wilma helped her husband Joe with his beekeeping business in their later years. Her husband Joseph Harvey passed away in Sandpoint on April 16, 1994.

She was a member of the Redlands LDS Ward where she taught Primary and MIA, and a member of the LDS church in Clark Fork Idaho. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. She also did a lot of food preserving for her family.

Wilma is survived by her youngest sister, Donna Faye Young of Willcox, Ariz.; four children, Joseph Blaine (Gina) Harvey of Clark Fork, Linda (Sherid) Lindsey of Rigby, Idaho, Claudia Harvey of Provo, Utah, and Michael (Jaelee) Harvey of Othello, Wash.; 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe; three children; and seven brothers and sisters.
