Louis Sten Johnson, 91

Louis Sten Johnson, 91, of Spokane Valley, Wash., passed away Jan. 23, 2008.

He was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Denver, Colo., the oldest of 11 children.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie (Sinchak) Johnson; two sons, Jahn and Doris Johnson and Scott and Virginia Johnson.

Louis moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1945 where he started two businesses, a machine shop and a jewelry and watch repair shop. In 1962 he moved to Spokane and worked as a machinist until he retired in 1988.

He was an avid clock and watch repairman throughout his life. In the later years he took up oil painting and wood carving.

Louis was a good friend to everyone he met.

A visitation will take place Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, from 4-8 p.m. at the Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, Wash.
