Don't turn a blind eye to so-called 'improvements'

Our whole waterfront is disappearing not by erosion but by self-centered developers who think about themselves and not about the public good. They disregard sound environmental practices by cloaking their "plans" as improvements for the good of the area. Come on, who are you kidding? Do these developers have the common person in mind when they build these "impovements." Our public access to the shores of this once pristine lake have gone to these "improvements."
It amazes me how people can complain about the desruction of the rain forests in Brazil, the loss of habitat of panda bears but we turn a blind eye to the "improvements" in our own back yard.
