Special Mobility Services (SMS), a private nonprofit corporation, is soliciting comments from disabled individuals or organizations serving the disabled about its transportation services. SMS operates a fixed route transportation service with stops in Spokane and Newport, Washington, and Priest River, Idaho. Service operates weekdays from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. Vehicles are wheelchair lift equipped. If a passenger cannot reach a bus stop because of a disability, they may call (509) 534-7171 to be picked-up at their home. Schedules and route information (including large print) can be obtained by calling (509) 534-7171 or 1-800-452-0402 for TDD for hearing-impaired callers.
