| January 30, 2008 8:00 PM

Ronald Dwayne "Ron" Brown Jr., 44, passed away on Jan. 28, 2008, in Sandpoint, Idaho

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, in the First Christian Church. Pastor Tony Nelson and Pastor Steve Nickodemus will officiate.

Ron was born in Downey, Calif., on Feb. 13, 1963, the son of Ronald D. and Lila L. Brown. He attended high school in Mission Viejo, Calif., and started working as a pressman, doing commercial printing. On April 21, 1984 he married Kimberly Gail in Laguna Hills, Calif.

He was the manager for Pacific Irrigation in Laguna Hills prior to moving to McCall, Idaho, in 1997, for health reasons and a better quality of life. In March 2000 he moved his family to the Sandpoint area.

He enjoyed working on, and modifying, anything mechanical. He always tried to help everyone and enjoyed working on, and fixing, cars. As his health continued to fail he remained active and was a very precise person.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, and camping. He worked on building guns, shooting them, and bird hunting.

Ron was a strong Christian and wanted his children to believe and have faith. He used his faith to help, and encourage, his friends and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Kim; three children, Tim Brown, Lauren Brown and Jon Brown, all at home in Sandpoint; his parents, Ronald D. and Lila L. Brown of Mission Viejo; his brother, Richard Brown of Ladera Ranch, Calif.; two sisters, Katherine Brown of Lincoln, Calif., and Kimberly Brown of Mission Viejo; and his grandmother Margaret McCall of Lakewood, Calif.

Family and friends are invited to sign Ronald's online guestbook at www.coffeltfuneral.com.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
