| July 9, 2008 9:00 PM

Ruth B. Martinosky, 86, passed away on July 7, 2008 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Missoula, Mont.

Ruth was born on Sept. 11, 1921, in Cicero, Ill., to Ruth Wicaryus Boehm and Anton Boehm. She was their only child.'Ruth entered the workforce early in life and did such things as packing mustard at the Plochman's plant and working on an assembly line at Convair producing airplane parts.

It was at Convair that Ruth met and fell in love with Ambrose (Andy) Martinosky. They often joked that Andy was her boss at work, so she had to marry him so she could be the boss at home. They did just that, and were wed on March 8, 1947, in Las Vegas, Nev. This began a 57-year adventure that included farming in Nebraska; living in San Francisco, Bell Gardens, and Lakeside, Calif.; and Clark Fork, Idaho.

After settling in Lakeside, Ruth and Andy became the parents of two children, Theresa Ann and Ambrose Paul. Ruth dedicated her life to raising her children in a happy home. She also raised and showed miniature Dachshunds and ran a boarding kennel as well. She had many loyal boarders who came back several times a year to stay.'

In 1974, the family moved to Clark Fork, where Ruth soon became a beloved member of the community. She was always ready and willing to bake a cake or cookies for school and community events. Ruth was a member of the Homemakers Club and the Grange in Clark Fork.

Ruth is survived by daughter, Theresa Ann (Dustin Hankinson); and son, Ambrose Paul (Theresa), both of Missoula; grandchildren, Douglas Patrick and David Allen (Sarah) Knight, and Amber Rose (Curtis Schwartz); great-grandchildren Melanie Rose and Aiden Leon Schwarts, and Aleah Marie Knight; her dearest friends, Theresa Surwillo and Donna and Bill Harp; and her special Dachshund companion, Misty. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Ambrose.

Services to celebrate Ruth's life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clark Fork on Friday July 11, 2008, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at the Clark Fork Cemetery. A reception will be held at 3-5 p.m. at the Clark Fork Grange following interment.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Ruth's name to Hospice of Missoula, 800 Kensington, Suite204, Missoula, Mont., 59801, or the organization of your choice.
