Noama Nelson

Noama Nelson passed away on July 18, 2008, in Spokane, Wash.

Memorial services will be held July 22, 2008, at the Central Baptist Church in Spokane.

She was born in Burke, S.D., on Sept. 20, 1927, the oldest daughter of Harry and Dorotha Walker.

She married Lyle D. Nelson in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Oct. 27, 1949. Noama was a very active member of her church.

She is survived by her children, Duane Nelson and Susan Blue of Spokane, Tim (Candy) Nelson of Post Falls, Idaho, and Marcella (Bob) Vine of Shively, Ky.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Hartly, Pat (Clayton) Russell, Peggy Turlow, Betty Gonnason of Sandpoint, Ruth (Dick) Beyer, Caroline (Bob) Jacobson of Sagle, Idaho, Nancy (Gary) Peiffer of Kalispell, Mont., and Phyllis (Bill) Loftes of Vancouver, Wash. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; a grandson; her parents; a sister, Barbara Fister; and four brothers, Herbert, Milton, Warren and Ronald Walker.
