Woodruff deserves community's thanks
A note regarding the front page tennis picture on July 16’s Bee. Sandpoint Tennis Association appreciates the publicity but I’m not sure enough credit is given Kim Woodruff of the city Parks Department for his efforts to make tennis and other sports viable here in Sandpoint. How many towns the size of Sandpoint can boast eight tennis courts, numerous soccer fields, baseball fields, rifle range, various smaller parks and a city beach park second to none and all kept in excellent condition.
Most of this is a credit to Kim, who is passionate in his work and has gone to bat for the kids and adults of the community more than once. I salute Kim for his dedication, which sometimes comes under fire at city hall.
By the way, David Keyes, I was harassed by about 12 people regarding me being on the front page … didn’t know you had such a large circulation (just kidding). Thanks to you, Eric Plummer and tennis players and non-tennis players throughout the area for the support you have shown.
