Climate protection panel awaits formation

Given the recent revelation that our carefully recycled glass was being stockpiled in the ground, maybe it's finally time to establish a citizen climate/sustainability advisory committee. More than a year ago, former Mayor Ray Miller signed the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. City Council agreed at that time to a resolution creating a citizen advisory committee.

This committee has not been formed. The recycling dilemma is only one of many challenges that reveals the necessity of creating this committee.
