Lois Eleanor Caauwe

Lois Eleanor Caauwe, 65, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Wednesday, June 4, 2008.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2008, in the Cabinet Mountain Bible Church in Trout Creek, Mont. Pastor Hap Cheff will officiate with inurnment following in the White Pine Cemetery.

Lois was born in Spirit Lake, Iowa, on Dec. 4, 1942, the daughter of Leonard and Mildred Caauwe. She had a bachelor's degree in both education and music. She moved to Trout Creek, Mont., in the early 1970s and worked as a secretary for the US Forest Service. She also taught school at the Trout Creek Elementary School until taking early retirement for health reasons.

Lois had her private pilot's license and enjoyed flying single engine airplanes in Eastern Montana. She was a member of the Cabinet Mountain Bible Church in Trout Creek where she played the piano. She enjoyed her piano, her cats, and following college and professional football games.

Her close friends Harold and Barbara Prophet in Trout Creek, Mont., and her church family at the Cabinet Mountain Bible Church in Trout Creek, Mont., survive her.

Her parents and a brother preceded her in death.
