SANDPOINT — After reading the article about the Summer Sampler banner stolen from the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, owners Olivia and Gregg Merithew of Sandpoint Signs & Graphics generously offered to make a new sign at no charge.

“We are so thankful for the Merithews of Sandpoint Signs & Graphics for donating their time and services on such short notice,” said Amy  Little, executive director of the chamber. “They did an incredible job and during a busy time for them as they move from Lake Street to Larch Street.”

Today’s Sandpoint Summer Sampler features sample culinary dishes, wines, and beers from area restaurants, caterers, breweries, and wineries. The event will be from 5-7 p.m. with live music by Loaded in Farmin Park and a cooking competition sponsored by Litehouse in Jeff Jones Square at 6:15 p.m.

“The event is one of many ways that we promote business in our community,” Little said.

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, located at 900  North Fifth Ave., is still missing a 15x2-foot banner for the Sandpoint Summer Sampler.
