Elizabeth Rader Childress

Elizabeth Rader Childress passed away in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in June 21, 2008.

Born in Okalahoma on Aug. 20, 1915, Elizabeth was the first of her family to attend college where she met and married George Childress, a soon-to-be school teacher.

Elizabeth, also a school teacher, taught English and music while raising five active children.

Elizabeth was preceeded in death by husband, George in 1992, and survived by children, Ronald Childress of Lewiston, Idaho, Donald (Roxann) Childress of Sandpoint and John (Christiane) Childress of London, England, James (Lucinda) Childress of Davis, Calif.; and Margaret/Bob Smallwood of Arlington, Texas.

Memorial service will be held in Woodland, Calif., on July 12, followed by a graveside service.
