Catherine Margaret Morford, 84

Catherine Margaret Morford, 84, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Inurnment will take place next to her husband in Palisade, Colo.

Catherine was born on Nov. 1, 1923, to Michael and Annie McCarthy in Glenwood Springs, Colo.

She grew up and attended schools there graduating from Garfield County High School.

She was a hardworking mother of two sons.

She worked in Glenwood Springs as a housekeeper, and as a clerk at the Guddy Shop, City Market and Safeway.

She married Jerry Morford on Aug. 19, 1968, in Basalt, Colo. The couple moved to Sandpoint in 1979, where they lived near Elmira and enjoyed raising fruit trees and roses.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Joan) McCarthy of New Castle, Colo., and Daniel (Shirley) McCarthy of Nashville, Tenn.; a grandson, Donald (Jeanie) McCarthy of New Castle, Colo.; and a sister, Mary Searl of Ogden, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Morford; and a grandson, Robert Lee McCarthy.
