Sagle man killed in highway crash

CLARK FORK - A Sagle man was killed after crashing his pickup truck near the Montana state line on Friday night.

Idaho State Police identified the victim as Ritchie N. Rector, 51.

Rector was eastbound on Highway 200 when he went off the roadway, overcorrected and went back across both lanes of the highway, state police said. The 1967 Chevrolet pickup Rector was driving continued up an embankment, ejecting him out the passenger-side window.

The pickup came to rest on its side with Rector underneath the vehicle, according to ISP. Rector was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened at about 7:45 p.m. between the Cabinet Gorge Dam turnoff and Wild Rose Drive.
