Just say 'no' to any new levy requests

| March 15, 2008 9:00 PM

Well we've been inundated by the non-”elected” bosses called the LPOSD threatening dire consequences if we don't knuckle under to their demands. Lets see, they need more money to finish building a school that's already taken 20 years and it still isn't finished, anything wrong with this picture?

Their excuse is the budget was not funded entirely by the state at the beginning of the year based on student population, which is down by nearly 300 kids and likely to be 400 by  end of the year. This is the same state that has, and continues, to violate the order of the Idaho State Supreme Court to fund Idaho's schools.

Where are the local state elected officials and why aren't they down in that useless governor's office demanding the $20 million(?) needed by the LPOSD.

The arrogance of these “Democans” in the one-party state of Idaho, becoming known as Utdaho, is mind-boggling.

What corruption we have in this county, city and state. If you want higher rents, food, prescription drugs, doctors visit, utilities, water, sewer, garbage, mortgages, clothes, “gas” (the local station cartel will take care of this for us - don't shop at these places) go ahead and vote for more taxes and water increases the city wants and when they come to throw you out of your homes because you can't pay your mortgage/property tax or rent remember your vote or non-vote. Just say no.
