| March 17, 2008 9:00 PM

Goldie Loretta Raynor, 70, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains, Mont. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Goldie was one of eight children born to Clarence and Jewel Gunter in Cocolalla, Idaho, on April 10, 1937. On Nov. 23, 1955, she wed the love of her life, Leslie Raynor. They made their home in Noxon, Mont., and raised five children.

Goldie loved to go fishing, play bingo and grow roses in the summertime. Goldie was a very social person and loved making new friends. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was playing card games or telling stories of the old days.

Her father, Clarence Gunter; her husband, Leslie Raynor; and eldest son, Donald; have gone before her.

She is survived by her mother, Jewel Gunter of Washington; her children, Phyllis Misner of Idaho, Carol Dossett of Plains, Jane Dicken (Greg) of Plains and Leslie Raynor Jr. (Michelle) of Thompson Falls, Mont.; her grandchildren, John Misner (Maria) of Nevada, Chris Misner of Washington, Brad Misner of Washington, Mykel Butcher of Wyoming, Jeremy Butcher (Sage) of Great Falls, Mont., Tom Dossett of Plains and Aaron Raynor of Thompson Falls; and her great-grandchildren, Janessa and Gabriel Beltan of Wyoming, Eva Misner of Washington, Tristan and Hailey Misner of Nevada. She also is survived by her brothers, Bill Gunter (Barbara) and Floyd Gunter, both of Washington, and Cleadis Gunter, Albert Gunter and James Gunter, all of Idaho; and her sisters, Joanne Johnson (Randy) and Barbara Witherell (Robert) of Washington.

A celebration of Goldie's life was held Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the United Methodist Church in Noxon, Mont. Goldie would probably like you to give a loved one a smile in lieu of flowers.
