Phillip Howard Hardin

Phillip Howard Hardin, IBEW journeyman lineman made his final climb as he breathed his last breath at 10:58 p.m. on March 22, 2008.

Phil died peacefully at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., where he had been unconscious and in critical condition. Phil was electrocuted on Dec. 14, 2007, while installing transmission lines for Rochester Gas & Electric Company in Rochester, N.Y.

A memorial service was held for Phillip H. Hardin in Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and another will be held in Anchorage, Alaska, on April 26.

Phillip grew up in Anchorage and graduated from Service High School.  Phil lived several years in Sandpoint, Idaho, working for Washing-ton Water and Power Company.

Wasilla, Alaska has been Phil's home for the past several years.

He is survived by a son, Jacob Hardin; soul mate, Karen Duncan; mother and stepfather, Peggy and Jerry Smith; father and stepmother, Cletus and Emma Hardin; three sisters, three brothers, one sister-in-law, two brother-in-laws, and nieces and nephews as well as many loyal friends.
