Thinking about others before you attack
This letter is in response to January Roberts' letter (Feb. 14) “When did we stop thinking about others?”
First off, I think you should reconsider the “we” in “When did we stop thinking about others?” As you will recall, you called the police before you so rudely confronted me. Then you proceeded to threaten me with the noise ordinance, which around 7:30 p.m. I was well within my legal rights to be working. To top off the evening you told the officer I smelled of alcohol. I'm quite sure you were watching from your window as the officer tested me for intoxication; the end result was I drove away in my huge rig. Some jobs are better left to professionals.
As for thinking about others … well that's what good neighbors do. I have been a good neighbor in Sandpoint for over 47 years. The next time something like this arises you might try “thinking about others” before you climb on your high horse to mount an attack.
This letter states my opinion and mine alone.
